Amrani or El Amrani (Lamrani) is an Arabic surname literally meaning "from Amran". The surname Amrani is an Italian patronymic or plural form of the name Armano. Armano is a Langobardic name that comes from the ancient Germanic status name hariman, which means "freeman". Amrani (عمراني), El Amrani( العمراني) or Al Imrani ( العمراني) are the same surname.
