Before I Turn is an American deathcore band from Simsbury, Connecticut, that formed in 2015.

History

The band was established in 2015, the same year they released their debut EP Imposter. During that time, Before I Turn performed as the opening act for a major tour by Asking Alexandria, Blessthefall, Chelsea Grin, and Upon a Burning Body, among others. A year later, they released their debut album, "The Virus".

While the first album and the Ep carried a clear deathcore sound, the second album, released in 2018 titled "Claustrophobic" carries a much more metalcore influence. To promote this album, the band played at the Worcester Palladium in Massachusetts, as the opening act for After the Burial and The Acacia Strain.

For their third album, "Lovelorn: Moon", released in early 2020, the band stayed true to the sound of their previous albums, which meant heavy scream parts were alternated with clean vocals. The album also included featured artist such as Alesana frontman Shawn Milke and Spiritbox frontwoman Courtney LaPlante.

In 2024, Before I Turn released their second EP, "The Devil Exists".
