Benton was a local service district that was partially within Carleton County and partially within York County in the Canadian province New Brunswick. Straddling the boundaries of two parishes – Woodstock and Canterbury – the local service district was divided into two designated places by Statistics Canada.
Demographics
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada:
- Benton part A had a population of 55 living in 24 of its 26 total private dwellings, a change of 10% from its 2016 population of 50. With a land area of 8.52 km (3.29 sq mi), it had a population density of 6.5/km (16.7/sq mi) in 2021.
- Benton part B had a population of 33 living in 13 of its 13 total private dwellings, a change of 0% from its 2016 population of 33. With a land area of 3.79 km (1.46 sq mi), it had a population density of 8.7/km (22.6/sq mi) in 2021.
