Fictional character biography

Bird-Brain is one of the "Ani-Mates", a group of humanoid animals who the Ani-Mator created and experimented on. However, he escapes and befriends the New Mutants. They attempt to acclimate him into human society, which fails due to his insatiable hunger. Additionally, he possesses a simplistic language that only Cypher can understand.

Bird-Brain develops close relationships with Cypher and Wolfsbane, viewing the latter as a kindred spirit. He and the New Mutants later return to the Ani-Mator's island to free the Ani-Mates, during which he decides to live there.
