Clifford Austin (born March 2, 1960) is an American former professional football player who was a running back for five seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played college football for the Clemson Tigers and was selected in the third round of the 1983 NFL draft. Austin played in a total of 58 career NFL games while making three starts.

Austin was also a star running back on Clemson's 1981 championship team.
