Released in 1961, their version peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Doug Kershaw, one half of the duo, released a solo version of the song in 1969, that peaked at number 70 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. It also reached number 1 on the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada.
