Foundation Media Partners is an American entertainment film production and brand management company established in 2016 by Patrick Hughes and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

History

Foundation Media Parners was formed in 2016 by film producer Patrick Hughes. Foundation Media aims to support creatives, emerging and established companies and individuals in arts, entertainment, digital media, music and fashion industries.

In 2022, it was announced that Foundation Media had secured exclusive book, film and documentary rights to the life story of Terrance Watanabe, the gambling addict who made history as Las Vegas biggest ever whale, after losing $127 million at Caesar's Palace and The Rio in Las Vegas after having gambled a total of $825 million.

Partnership

In 2022, Foundation Media Partners CEO, Patrick Hughes collaborated with Reese Witherspoon, Claire Curley, head of kids and animation at Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine, to produce a children's story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears alongside Sharon Price John of Build-A-Bear.

In March 2024, Foundation Media Partners announced that they were partnering with Varsity Spirit and will lead it in development, packaging and production across its entertainment verticals.

In September 2024, Foundation Media Partners secured a first-look deal with Simon and Schuster Children's publishing to develop and produce film and television projects based Simon and Schuster's extensive library, focusing on the Little Simon and Chapter Books and graphic novels imprint. The company has also partnered with Build-A-Bear Entertainment to expand the brand's entertainment footprint, resulting in projects like "Honey Girls" and "Deliver by Christmas."

Recent developments

In October 2024, Foundation Media Partners teamed up with Rose Byrne's Dollhouse Pictures to adapt Anh Do's novel "Wolf Girl" into a feature film, marking the first big-screen adaptation of the popular Australian author's work.
