Helena Wu (Chinese: 胡婉慧) is a Hongkonger academic in cultural studies, focused on Hong Kong cinema and literature based at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Wu is Canada Research Chair in Hong Kong studies and Convenor of UBC's Hong Kong Studies Initiative.

Biography

Wu received her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) desgree from the University of Hong Kong. She was awarded her doctorate summa cum laude from the University of Zurich in 2019.
