International Villager is the debut studio album by Indian hip hop artist Yo Yo Honey Singh. The album containing was officially released on 11 November 2011. It was one of the first Indian hip-hop albums to reach commercial and mainstream success.
Reception
The album's famous track "Gabru", featuring rapper J-Star, quickly climbed to the top of the Asian music charts, including the official BBC Asian charts. It was also remixed for the 2020 Bollywood movie Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan.
The music video for the track "Brown Rang" was released on 28 February 2012 and became YouTube's most trending video of 2012. It won the top spot in the list of YouTube's most watched videos of 2012 in India with over 10 million views. The video has received over 343 million views on YouTube. The song's songwriting credits have always been a subject of dispute between the artists who were involved in the making of the song, mainly Honey Singh and Badshah.
