Karasu (Kazakh: Қарасу ауданы, Qarasu audany) is a district of Kostanay Region in northern Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the selo of Karasu. Population: 27,879 (2013 estimate); 29,238 (2009 Census results); 37,360 (1999 Census results).

Geography

The Ulken Damdi river, as well as lake Kushmurun, are located in the district, the latter at the border with neighboring Auliekol District.
