Košické Oľšany (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈkɔʂitskeː ˈɔʎʂani]; Hungarian: Kassaolcsvár) is a village and municipality in Košice-okolie District in the Košice Region of eastern Slovakia.
History
In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1288 when a part of the village belonged to Slanec Lords, and the other part to Krásna nad Hornádom's Benedictine abbey.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 202 metres and covers an area of 8.669 km. It has a population of about 1140 people.
