The Omaha Storm Chasers are a Minor League Baseball team that has played in Papillion, Nebraska since being established in 1969. They were initially members of the American Association (AA) before joining the Pacific Coast League (PCL) in 1998, and the International League (IL) in 2021.
The team has played 7,776 regular-season games and compiled a win–loss record of 3,909–3,867 (.503). The Storm Chasers' best regular-season record occurred in 1969 when they finished 85–55 (.607). Conversely, their lowest record was 53–91 (.368) in 2006.
The Storm Chasers claimed eight league titles. Additionally, they secured three class titles (1990, 2013, and 2014). They have also captured fifteen division titles, including four consecutive championships from 2011 to 2014. Aside from this, they have had two different stretches of three consecutive division titles: from 1976 to 1978 and 1988 to 1990.
The Storm Chasers have experienced one main period of failure. Between 1991 and 2009, the Storm Chasers appeared thrice in the postseason and had nine winning seasons. For sixteen, including eleven consecutive seasons under Mike Jirschele, the Storm Chasers made six postseason appearances and won four division titles. In addition, Jirschele and the Storm Chasers competed in three consecutive Pacific Coast League championship series winning two, in 2012 and 2013, and being runner-up in 2011.
