Martijn (Dutch pronunciation: [mɑrˈtɛin] ), occasionally written as Martyn, Martain or Martein, is a Dutch given name. It is a cognate of Martin, and ultimately derived from the Roman Martinus.
In Icelandic, the name is written as Marteinn. The feminine form is Martina.
