Mecistocephalus marcusensis is a species of centipede in the Mecistocephalidae family. It was described in 1953 by Japanese myriapodologist Yasunori Miyoshi.

Description

This species has 49 pairs of legs and can reach about 26 mm in length.

Distribution

The species occurs on Minamitorishima, also known as Marcus Island, a small and isolated Japanese atoll in the north-western Pacific Ocean.
