Morning Star Higher Secondary School, Gudalur, Tamil Nadu, India, is a co-educational institution established on 25 May 1991, under the management of CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) fathers of St. Thomas Provinces, Kozhikode.

Morning Star School is situated in an idyllic setting. It is nestled in the greens of the Nilgiris in the foothills of the Western Ghats and is surrounded by tea and coffee plantations. The school is on the border of three southern states and is accessible from Coimbatore, Ooty, Bangalore, Mysore, and Kozhikode. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. When the school was founded, in the beginnings, the school had only 7 staff members and 70 students. These numbers have shown more than a tenfold increase over the years and stand currently at 73 and 1460 respectively.

The foundation stone was laid by Rev Fr Joseph Mattom CMI, then Provincial, on 8 December 1990, blessed by Mar Jacob Thumkuzhy - then Bishop of Mananthavady, and inaugurated by Mar Aruldas James, then Bishop of Ooty on 25 May 1991. Since then Morning Star Higher Secondary School has been standing strong for 30 years now. We take the modesty to say that we did our best to do as we had planned and we are proud of our students and teachers who strive hard to achieve beyond expectation.
