Peter A. Garvin (born c. 1967) is a United States Navy vice admiral who has served as the 18th president of the National Defense University since 11 October 2024. He most recently served as the president of the Naval War College from 2023 to 2024. He previously served as the commander of the Naval Education and Training Command, Patrol and Reconnaissance Group, and Navy Recruiting Command.
In July 2024, Garvin was nominated for promotion to vice admiral and assignment as president of the National Defense University.
