Roberto Vera Monroig (born January 24, 1947) is a Puerto Rican politician and the former mayor of Adjuntas. Vera is affiliated with the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) and served as mayor from 1997 till 2005.
Political career
Vera began his political career serving as member of the Municipal Assembly of Adjuntas. In 1996, he ran for mayor of the city, defeating incumbent Rigoberto Ramos Aquino. After that, Vera was reelected one more term (2000). He lost the 2004 election to PNP candidate Jaime Barlucea Maldonado.
