Roman Hrabec is a Czech professional high-stakes poker player and former professional hockey player residing in Vienna, Austria most known for his results at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series where he has finished first (2024; $4,330,000 and $622,019), second (2023; $653,600), fourth (2024; $1,867,000), fifth (2024; $441,000), seventh (2023; $126,000) and ninth (2023; $324,000).
Hrabec won his first bracelet in the $333 No Limit Hold'em - Triple Treys (Online Bracelet Event #5) at the 2024 World Series of Poker.
Hrabec makes his 4-bets intentionally large, sometimes as much as 3 times the former bet (3-bet), and can so benefit - force a fold and win pots uncontested - from a too small or to frequent 3-bet but can also get value when he has a strong hand.
As of December 2024, Hrabec's total live tournament winnings exceeds $11,650,000. He rankes second among Czech poker players in regard to all-time winnings.
In April 2024, Hrabec finished on top of the Titans Event pocketing $77,133 after a three-way deal with the eventual winner being Pascal LeFrancois ($78,363) while third-place finisher pvigar took down the biggest prize of $81,429 in a tournament with a prize pool of $380,000 and with the top nine finishers making the money; after finishing second in the Titans Event in March 2022 for a prize sum of $86,797 succumbing only to Daniel Dvoress.
