Sanjay Passi is an Indian businessman who leads the Pasco Group, one of North India's key players in the automobile industry which had a turnover of Rs 2,690 crore for the fiscal year 2021–22. Passi is the chairman of Pasco.

Early life and education

Passi holds a B.Com. (Honors) degree from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. After taking over his father's Tata Motors dealership in 1989, following his graduation, Passi successfully expanded Pasco, adding Maruti Suzuki and JCB dealerships under his leadership.

Awards and achievements

Passi was appointed as the Honorary Consul General for the Republic of Latvia in New Delhi, serving from November 2007 to March 2014. He is also a member of the Worldwide Entrepreneurs Organization and the Young Presidents' Organization, Delhi Chapter. In 1999, he received the Aaykar Ratna Award as the highest taxpayer in India and was honoured as the "Best Entrepreneur of the Year" by Osamu Suzuki.

Pasco Group ranked 8th on ET Auto's Top 100 Power Dealers List in 2022.

Personal life

Passi is married to Shalini Passi, an art collector and socialite, and they have a son, Robin. Despite his business success, Passi maintains a relatively low public profile, dedicating his efforts to philanthropy, including a notable donation of ₹10 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams at the sacred Tirumala Temple in 2021. In 2024, his wife Shalini gained public attention through her appearance on Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
