Stephen Chan (Chinese: 陳學理) is an American politician and former New York City Police Department sergeant who is a member of the New York State Senate for the 17th district, which comprises part of South Brooklyn. A Republican, he defeated Democratic incumbent Iwen Chu in 2024.

Chan is the first Asian-American Republican elected to the New York State Senate, and the first Republican since the 2018 State Senate elections to represent a Brooklyn-based seat. In doing so, he broke up a four-year Democratic super-majority in the New York State Senate.
