Proposed merge of Century (Song) into this article

The article was proposed for deletion, and I think although it fails WP:MUSIC it does cite its sources, and should be included in the article about the album. --Snigbrook 01:11, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

It's been more than a year since this merge was proposed. It doesn't seem to fail WP:MUSIC as it was a single released by a major independent label, so I'm removing the sign. Prylon (talk) 01:47, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

"Couples (album)"?

Should this page not be moved to "Couples (album)" as opposed to ""Couples" (album)"? Most titles do not include the quotation marks this way, ie, Favourite Worst Nightmare, A Weekend In The City, or even Myths of the Near Future. -- ReplyOnMine! 20:45, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Ignore my last comment, I have just read a myspace bulletin which states that the quotation marks are part of the title. Thanks anyway for all those replies which flowed in. -- ReplyOnMine! 14:51, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Quote-marks in the album title

Sj, I think you've been a bit hasty there. One of the cited sources explicitly says "the quotation marks are part of the title" so it looks like they should stay. Also in the discussion above SteelersFanUK06 queried the quotes and was put right (though he hasn't cited his source). --VinceBowdren (talk) 10:02, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

The result of the proposal was no consensus. --BDD (talk) 19:55, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

"Couples""Couples" (album) – Primary is the John Updike novel Couples. the extra " not used in Google Books sources Relisted. BDD (talk) 22:24, 3 February 2014 (UTC) In ictu oculi (talk) 11:15, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Note, RM proposal amended following comment below. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:57, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Oppose While there are a handful of book sources which do not appear to use the quotes, they are part of the title and is a tribute to the Bowie album "Heroes". Their label's site specifically says the quotations are apart of the title. Also the quotes were used on Pitchfork and they have another album with the same deal "Singles". Clearly in terms of common name and precision the quotes are correct. benmoore 22:01, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
That wasn't mentioned in the article text - it might be worth adding it. All the same "Couples" is ambiguous to most readers, and so is "Singles", which should be at "Singles" (The Long Blondes album) because of all the albums at Singles disambiguation. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:57, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
I don't think it is ambiguous as it's precisely the name of this album and nothing else. Each case should just have a hatnote to the disambiguation as at "Heroes", with redirects along the lines of "Singles" (The Long Blondes album). benmoore 10:52, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Also I've now made the suggested addition. benmoore 11:03, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Strong support exactly as proposed. The proposed location includes the quotation marks--well done. Things that should be put into italics are often put into "" instead, like books. So "Couples" is not clear enough. Red Slash 04:23, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Could you elaborate on what you mean by "clear enough", ideally indicating a relevant clause in WP:AT? (Also the request didn't contain the quotation marks when I first commented.) benmoore 19:51, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
