Jacksons(Hilbert College) Ecole Technique Officielle, as an operational school, has Misplaced Pages legitimacy no less than an American or European school, and as the place name of an important event (the ETO Massacre of the Rwanda Genocide) is further legitimate. Its current entry mostly concerning shooting dogs (a movie) is only a small part of its significance.

Assess

This is one of only two schools in Rwanda with an article on Misplaced Pages. The school played a significant part in Rwandan history, hence the top importance rating. The school deserves a much better article. Please tell us more. Dahliarose (talk) 23:09, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

This school might be important and rate highly in a history project but with absolutely no information as its function as a school does not rate top importance in WPSchools.--GroveGuy (talk) 15:27, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
This assessment was agreed by the assessment team. I've reverted the assessment to top importance as previously agreed. All the top importance school articles are listed at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Schools. If you wish to change a top importance school you need to discuss it there. Each country should have at least one top importance school. Dahliarose (talk) 00:43, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
As a matter of fact, I came to this article by looking through the top schools as listed in Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Schools. To rate this school as top importance must be some kind of political correctness that is beyond my comprehension.--GroveGuy (talk) 01:44, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
This was an objective assessment based on notability and has nothing to do with political correctness. How many other schools do you know that have played a part in the history of their country? The only other one I can think of is La Martiniere Lucknow in India which we also assessed as top importance. For reference the assessment archive can be found here:. If you feel the assessment needs to be challenged then the procedure is to raise it at WP Schools. Is there another school in Rwanda that you should have the top importance assessment instead?
