Linux-only?

This doesn't seem to be in the same category as /dev/null, it seems to be more of a linux invention than a unix standard or convention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.173.179.7 (talk) 05:54, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Is this the perma dead link?

https://manpages.debian.org/wheezy/freebsd-manpages/lindev.4freebsd I am not knowledgeable on the topic, but this seems to be the missing dead link. Can anyone verify? --PeanutButterPopcorn (talk) 10:58, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

I checked the information at the link and it seems to contain the same information, so I've added it. Something I'd recommend for pages with few views like this is to ask for verification on more populated pages (e.g. WP:HELPDESK, which I see you're already familiar with, or WP:Teahouse), unless you're fine with waiting a while (and I mean a while) for an answer. Thank you! You're right, I'll ask somewhere else next time. Thank you for adding it for me! PeanutButterPopcorn (talk) 01:26, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
