Teen Abomination (Jamie Carlson) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a teenage counterpart of the Abomination and the son of Happy Hogan.

Publication history

This section needs expansion. You can help by adding to it. (January 2017)

Teen Abomination first appeared in Superior Iron Man #1, and was created by writer Tom Taylor and artist Yıldıray Çınar. He was originally created as a joke character and named "Teen Man-Thing".

Fictional character biography

Jamie Carlson is the son of Stark Industries scientist Katrina Carlson. At age five, he was exposed to gamma radiation in an accident when Katrina brought him to work, leading her to be fired. At age thirteen, Jamie transforms into an Abomination-like mutant creature due to the gamma energy's effects and inadvertently kills Katrina.

After battling Iron Man and She-Hulk, Jamie moves to Stark Island to prevent himself from hurting others and unsuccessfully uses Extremis as a cure. During this, he learns that his father is former Stark employee Happy Hogan and that Katrina is not dead, but suffered severe head trauma and is recovering at a hospital.

Teen Abomination is later abducted by an unidentified organization, given an electronic chip, and forced into evil. However, S.T.A.K.E. operatives Martin Reyna, Jasper Sitwell, and Dum Dum Dugan confront him and remove the chip, returning him to normal.

In All-New, All-Different Marvel, Teen Abomination joins S.T.A.K.E.'s Howling Commandos. However, Cassandra Nova mind-controls him and forces him to attack Atlantis before the X-Men stop him.

Powers and abilities

Teen Abomination has all the powers of Emil Blonsky, but to a lesser extent.
