The Ticket t+ is a single trip ticket for Paris public transit that was introduced in 2007 and that is valid on buses and on the métro and rail systems within Paris. From 2025, it is only available as a paper ticket at the price of €2.50, and is being replaced by two new types of single tickets available to be loaded onto a reusable Navigo Easy card or smartphones. The new Ticket Bus-Tram costs €2 and allows a trip on the bus and tram network, including changes. The new Ticket Métro-Train-RER costs €2.50 and allows trips on the rail networks in all zones, except for the airports, a much larger coverage area than provided by the ticket t+.
Historically, the ticket t+ was the main single trip ticket, and was also available as a pack of 10 (a carnet) at a price reduced by about 20%. In contrast to its predecessor, the ticket t, it allows for changes between bus routes. From 2019 until 2024, the ticket could also be loaded onto a reusable Navigo Easy card, at a lower price than for the paper ticket version. Starting September 2023, the carnet discount was discontinued for paper tickets.
General use
The Ticket t+ can be used as a single trip ticket on:
- The complete Métro network (except Orly)
- Zone 1 of the RER and Transilien networks (inside the city limits of Paris)
- The complete tramway network, except express tram lines (T11, T12, and T13)
- The complete RATP bus network, in the city of Paris and its suburbs, including Noctilien night buses (except a small number of "long-distance" lines for which 2 tickets t+ need to be validated)
- Most of the Optile bus network, a union of the private operators of bus lines in Paris outer suburbs.
- The Montmartre funicular
Exceptions and details on use
On the Métro and rail network, the Ticket t+ is valid for a single trip, allowing for connections (between Métro and RER lines) for a duration of 90 minutes, until the user leaves the ticketed station areas. The ticket is not valid on RER lines outside the city limits of Paris (zone 1), but it is valid on the Métro network even outside the city limits. This leads to a number of anomalies, such as travel being permitted to Stade de France via line 13 to Saint Denis Porte de Paris but not to La Plaine Stade de France on line B nor Stade de France Saint Denis on line D, and travel to La Défense being permitted on line 1 but not line A.
On the bus and tramway network, the Ticket t+ is valid for a single trip of any length, allowing for transfers to other bus and tramway lines for a duration of 90 minutes between the first and the last validation. The ticket cannot be used for a return trip using the same line, and cannot be used to board the same line after interrupting a trip. Transfers to or from the Métro/rail network are not permitted.
The ticket is not valid for the Orlybus and Roissybus airport bus shuttles, Orlyval, express tram lines, nor to Orly Airport on Metro line 14. For these trips, an airport ticket needs to be purchased. It is also not valid for trips on the RER and Transilien that leave the city limits (Zone 1), including trips to La Défense, the airports, Versailles, or Disneyland Paris. For these trips, a Ticket Métro-Train-RER or a paper ticket billet origine-destination needs to be purchased.
