Tuital Holy Spirit Church is a Roman Catholic church in Dharmapalli, Tuital, Nayanshree union, Nawabganj Upazila, Dhaka Division, Bangladesh. It is the only religious institution representing the Catholic Church in the village.

History

A large church named "Rani Japamala Church" was established at Hasanabad in Nawabganj. As branches of this organization, several churches and missionary schools were established in the surrounding villages. The "Tuital Church of the Holy Spirit" and the "Tuital Girls School and College" were established.

After being under the Hasanabad for about 120 years, Tuital Dharmapalli was established on 15 May 1894. In 1924, a new church named "Tuital Church of the Holy Spirit" was built next to the old church.

The church has been renovated several times since its construction in 1924. The most recent renovation was done in 1993, leading to the current structure of the church.

In media

The 1993 film Ekattorer Jishu (Jesus of the Seventy One), based on Shahriar Kabir's novel of the same name, was filmed on the banks of the church and the river Ichhamati.
