Udom Taepanich (Thai: อุดม แต้พานิช; RTGSUdom Taephanit), also stage name Nose, is a Thai stand-up comedian, artist and writer.

Taepanich was named as One of the best Persons of the Century in Performing Arts by Nation Publishing Group in 2000. He is well known for his stand-up comedy series Deaw 1-13.

Biography

Taepanich was born on September 1, 1968, in Chonburi, Thailand. He is a son of Tongsuk Arilon and Somjit Taepanich, who is the second of three children.

Graduated a primary school from Wat Salaloy Municipality 2 School, junior high school from Surawittayakarn, Surin Province, and vocational certification from Chonburi Vocational College, Chonburi Province. He used to study in Arts at Pohchang Academy of Arts for 2 years.

Taepanich started his first career as a comic artist at Chaiyapruek. Magazine of Thai Wattanapanich by using the alias as ‘Note Namun’ (โน้ต หน้ามึน). Then, he worked as an art team member - designed and composed elements of illustration, and magazine covers at Paiyalyai Magazine from Sitsadue Publishing. He also was an actor as 'an old man in the hospital' in Sitsadue's soap opera named "Malai's love in ICU". He got inspired by Paiyalyai Magazine to read and write, and he wrote "Once in a lifetime with watermelon smoothie" (ครั้งหนึ่งในชีวิตกับแตงโมปั่น) - his first publishing book. He got promoted as a writer of Paiyalyai Magazine.

Starting in 1993, Taepanich was a member of the Yutthakarn Kayubnguek Team.

In 1995, he started a live stand-up comedy series called "Deaw"; as of April 2022, there are thirteen shows in the Deaw series. Additionally, in 2024, there are two more shows which are Sit Down with Stand Up and Deaw Special on Netflix.

Taepanich created a special program called "Moo" which showcased him and other Thai celebrities doing stand-up and also performing their arts. Taepanich has been called one of the most famous comedians in Thailand.

Moreover, Taepanich was a lead movie actor in Box (กล่อง) (1998) Directed by Chatrichalerm Yukol

In 2019, Taepanich released singles "Long Rak", "Long Ruay", "Rong Cham", and "Long Joh" in the name of DTK BOY BAND - special collaborated with Kong Huayrai and Singto Namchok

In 2024, Taepanich faced lèse-majesté prosecution for his comments on the sufficiency economy theory published by King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
