Welcome!

Hello, Łowiczanka, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! This is one of the most popular websites in the world, and it's only through the contributions of editors like you. And Misplaced Pages is not just a collection of articles, it's an active community. The real fun here is contributing to Misplaced Pages, but don't feel hurt if some of your first few edits get removed, as there are some central guidelines you may not be familiar with.

Some good advice: be bold in your editing, and use the talk pages to discuss with other editors. Be kind to others, because there's a lot you can learn from them, and there's lots they can help you with.

There's lots of resources to help you become a great editor, from our basic introduction to our in-depth manual. But if you have any questions or problems, no matter what they are, leave me a message on my talk page. Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. And if you haven't done so, tell us a bit about yourself. Oh, and please sign your name on talk pages and votes by typing ~~~~; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date.

re:Feedback regarding image

Hello! I noticed your feedback, and I know that Misplaced Pages can be quite confusing for newcomers, so I'm here to help! I took a look at your contributions, and I believe the image you can't get to work is the one in this page. Well, I cannot see anything wrong with it, so perhaps you can tell me what the problem is, so I can help fix it?

Misplaced Pages uses a simplified markup, and is really quite easy; for example, we have an image called "Chzz test image.jpg" - thus, if I put ] right here, it displays that here;

File:Chzz test image.jpg

By the way, I've taken a look at that page, and fixed some little things.

I think it's great that you are helping to expand that article; all stubs need help, and if you're passionate about a topic, be bold and jump right in.

Remember: references, references, references. Online, offline, in English, Polish or Tamil, as long as they're reliable. If you need help you can answer here, on my talk page, or you can receive it in the live chat at Misplaced Pages IRC help channel, #wikipedia-en-help .

Go for it :-) --Zidanie5 (talk) 02:07, 4 November 2011 (UTC) This help message was expanded by  Chzz  ►  03:02, 4 November 2011 (UTC) (with consent from Zidanie5)

Your submission at Articles for creation: The Rogues (Buffalo, NY 1960's rock band) (July 9)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Worldbruce was: This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Misplaced Pages requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Misplaced Pages:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Misplaced Pages at this time. The comment the reviewer left was: The draft cites no reliable sources, only two blogs, Facebook, and artisttrove.com, which doesn't appear to fit Misplaced Pages's definition of reliable. Citing the Buffalo News article would be a start, but you mustn't upload an image of it because it is not your work, you don't hold the copyright. One newspaper article is not enough to satisfy any criterion under WP:NBAND. Perhaps you can find additional sources by searching The Buffalo News's Newsbank archives, Google's newspaper archives, newspapers.com, newspaperarchive.com, other historical periodical databases, or local library holdings. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
