He graduated as a licentiate in psychology from Central University of Venezuela, Caracas with a degree in industrial psychology, completed postgraduate in clinical psychopathology from the University of Barcelona, Spain and received a Doctor Honoris Causa from the Bicentenary University of Aragua.
