The Tennessee gubernatorial election of 2006 was held on November 7, 2006. Incumbent Democratic governor Phil Bredesen, defeated Republican State Senator Jim Bryson in a landslide to win a second term as Governor of Tennessee, winning every county in the state.

As of 2025, it is the last time a Democrat won a majority of counties in the state, the most recent election in which a Democrat won any statewide race in Tennessee, and the most recent statewide election in Tennessee in which several counties, including Knox County and Hamilton County, went to the Democratic Candidate.
