Urdu is the Official language of Chitral District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Khowar is the second language spoken Chitral district Kalasha is also spoken in Ayun, Birir, Bumburet and Rumbur, Persian is also fourth language spoken in Garam Chashma valley by 2000 population and in Madaklasht valley and spoken small amount in Upper Chitral regions.
There are 14 different languages spoken in Chitral including Balti, Burushaski, Dameli, Domaaki, Dari, Dangariwar, Gawar-bati, Kalkoti, Kamviri, Kohistani, Khowar, Kygryz, Munji, Palula, Yidgha, Wakhi, Shina, Tajik, Torwali, Ushojo, Uzbek, Wakhi.
