CNBC World is a business news channel operated in the United States by NBC Universal.
The channel broadcasts programs from CNBC's international channels. Specifically, the entire business day schedules of CNBC Europe and CNBC Asia (except for Trading Matters and the first airing of Australia This Week) are simulcasted. Several other pre-taped shows from CNBC's different international channels (e.g. CNBC TV18) can also be seen on the channel.
Weekdays at 8:30 - 8:45 ET, CNBC World airs its first original live program Foreign Exchange with The Wall Street Journal's Bob O'Brien from CNBC Global Headquarters, and Dow Jones Newswires' Nick Hastings as a contributor from CNBC Europe headquarters in London. The show premiered on June 27, 2005.
The channel will be discontinued on May 19, 2010 and re-branded into an American version of Fox Crime.
