The municipality Bardu in the county of Troms, Norway, has 3,799 inhabitants as of January 1, 2002.
The largest town and administrativ and political capital is Setermoen.
Norways largest military garrison is located at Setermoen, the military is the municipalities largest employer and more than 1000 young men perform their duty service here each year.
Bardu has over the years produced several internatonaly renowned nordic combined performers. The two most honoured beeing Fred Børre Lundberg and Bjarte Engen Vik.
