Garden District is the collective title given to a double-bill of the two one-act plays by Tennessee Williams, Something Unspoken and Suddenly, Last Summer. The title is an oddity, because while Suddenly, Last Summer does take place in Garden District of New Orleans, Something Unspoken takes place in Meridian, Louisiana. Both deal with the theme of homosexuality. They received their first performance at the York Playhouse, Off-Broadway, on January 7, 1958.
