Mamunds are a Pashtun tribe. (12,000 ; Bajaur, principally in Watelai valley, but they own villages on both sides of the Durand Line) - One of the four clans of Tarkanis. "Mamund" a small Pathan clan ranging from Mohmand Agency in North Western Province of Pakistan to the eastern Provincial district of Marawara in Afghanistan. The main heartland of mamund include Bajour Agency and Marawara. The total population will exceed more than half a million tribemen.
