Agha, I am truly sorry for not being able to write you as I had promised. I got 63 different things going on at the same time. (writing proposals at my job, going to Iran for the summer, taking care of the wife, moving to another apartment, etc), and on top of everything, I have to deal with User:Zora on almost a daily basis. She is desperately trying to change the history of Khuzestan and Ahvaz and inject Arabic roots and revisions into it.

Hey, in the National Car Museum of Iran you suggest that Hitler has visited Iran, but I cant find any reliable sources confirming this..

Hi. I apologize for not responding to your messages. Ive been traveling, and I had some exams to take care of. And some idiotic ongoing fights.

I would like to help you out in the projects you mentioned, but Ive been having a bit too much on my plate lately. And the only reason I cant let go of WP is that Ive noticed that some major media outlets like The Wash Post or TIME and others have been directly using material off of WP pages. I know this for a fact because I wrote some of the exact sentences they used. And with the biased anti-Iranian campaign going on the Khuzestan and its related pages, I cant let these bigots (thebiased WP editors) distort the facts. Ive been busy lately as youve probably noticed on Talk:Iran page.

On a more positive note, I just received my copy of the 20 volume series of Dehkhoda's dictionary. It's a very interesting read! And pretty handy for Misplaced Pages articles too.

Persian Misplaced Pages

Hi Aytakin,

I assume you have contributed to or browsed the Persian Vikipedia. May I ask you a question? I tried to browse it with a couple of different PC's and I see the text improperly displayed. Specifically, the "yeh" (ى ) never connects to the following letter, so the words containing a "yeh" look divided in two parts, e.g. ويكى بديا instead of ويكيبديا (sorry for the b/p). Persians

The user Aucaman has been vandalizing Persian people, as well as several other Iran-related articles, claiming that "modern Persians are mix of Arabs and Mongols" editing the article, or adding a dispute tag, based on his own personal assumptions and conclusions without any valid source to support such outrageous revisionist theory. Iranian Watchdog

Aucaman and a few others like Heja Helweda and Diyako have been repeatedly and systematically vandalizing the Iran-related topics such as Persian people and Iranian peoples, propagating false information, maliciously editing/disputing/deleting without one shred of proof to backup their wild claims, applying the strawman falsification approach, trying to establish new 'facts" based on their own personal assumptions and beliefs.

In order to prevent this situation, we need to create an Iranian Watchdog on Misplaced Pages and guard the integrity and quality of all the Misplaced Pages articles that are related to Iran and Iranians. Please let me know if you think that's a good idea. --ManiF 13:00, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

User:Diyako is trying to make an alternative ficticious definition of Newroz

User:Diyako has created an article on a Turkic-Nowruz without mention of its Iranian history and roots. Soon we will here Nowruz has nothing to do with Iran too. His article is Nevruz. This should be merged or edited properly. He has gone on the Turkish discussions to promote it.

Here is what user:Diyako has written;

Nevruz is the spring festival among Turkic-speaking nations, from Turkey to Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan etc. It is very similar to the Iranian festival of Norouz.

According to Turkish legends Nevruz dates back to era of Gökturks.

Th user Diyako is definnityl anti-Iranian and has an anti-Iranian agenda.

Nevruz is not very similar to the Irnian festival of Norouz it is Norouz!

He has claimed the Kurdish flag has nothing to do with Iran and is a crime to fly in Iran. The Kurdish flag is based on the Iranian flag it is even in the memories of the founders of the Mehbad Republic who wanted to showcase their Aryan and Mede heritage. Back then Kurds only had a oral history about their only know ancestors the Mede and Mede heritage, before other ancestors were accepted. The Sun is also very significant element of ancient Iranian and Zorasatrianism. Diyako is misleading everyone. Go to Kurdistan 20 years ago let alone 50 they will say we are Aryans and our own blood relatives are the Persians. The Kurdish flag is not banned in Iran and is based on Iranian colours. This user also claims the Iranians are only a lingustic group after he saw that the tide was against him that Kurds are in definition an Iranian people so he worked to undermine the definition of Iranian people and even Persians with user:Acuman.

The book is basically an autobiography of Frye in the Iranian lands. He is now 85. So he has lots of stories to say about his many tarvels. Academically it's not much worth. But as far as his story goes, I find it quite fascinating. The man has seen a helluva lot of places and been with a lot of people. Im actually green with envy. As he says somewhere in the book: "I am more Iranian than Iranians." I'd agree to that claim.

Not to mention that he'll get buried next to the beautiful Zayandeh Rud, while I'll probably end up stacked on top of two other guys in the shitty Behesht e Zahra.--Zereshk 01:09, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Iranian Azerbaijan

Hi there,

I just wanted to let you know that user, khoikhoi (MOD) keeps including the very offensive term, "south azerbaijan" on the Iranian Azerbaijan page. We should not let him post this propoganda and false information. That term has no place in an encycolpedia article. It is not relevent to the content. What a few seperatists call that region should not be shown here. If we dont stop this, people will start including the "a#abian gulf" as an alternate name on the Persian gulf page.

Thanks a lot. :) The user apparently thinks it's ok to censor alternate names in pages because "it is offensive". I beg to differ. Iranian Azerbaijan is the neutral prefered term, however, the term "South/Southern Azerbaijan" is used by many people in the Republic of Azerbaijan and many Azeri nationalists, which would make the term notable. I argued my points, and then the user threatened to spam the talk pages of all the Persian editors he knew, and I told him to go right ahead - that's how you got your message. Hello again, my name is Kiumars, I am Iranian but I am not a historian! I have a couple of historian friends though and I have learned a little from them in our discussions (and sometimes arguments!).

I don’t have a wiki membership as yet because I don’t see any advantage in it! (Am I wrong? Am I missing something?)

The main problem with wiki is that anybody can change it and that makes vandalism easy, although others go and put right the changes you cannot be sure of the authenticity of the article you are reading. They must think of a way to control the vandalism, maybe something like stop modification to the article directly and let people only submit the changes thru discussion page. I must admit I don’t know the inter-working of the wiki yet.

As for your project (especially the 24/7 radio) I need to know your political stand/views first. Radios have mission statements and political views!

I cannot help you with sport section though!

PS: I try not to edit the wiki articles directly; I discuss my point of views in the discussions!

On Saturday 20 May 2006 a friend of mine met, on the airport Amsterdam the Netherlands, a man who was travelling from Tehran via Amsterdam to Canada, Toronto. He mentioned that he is 39 years old and once played for the national football team and his career ended because of a knee injury. He still plays occasionally for an amateurclub.

I am trying to find this person, because I am writing an essay about the national team of Canada. Therefore, I would like to interview this person.

When are we Going to See Proof that Azaris are Genetically Turkic

Please keep an eye on Azari and the talk:Azari. I have started the following in the discussion.

It has been ages since these citations have not been verified. Verification is needed. If not delete the material. the amount of time granted has been generious. The Azaris Iranian background has been verified through various scientific and academic sources, but the Turkic claim has not. The only think that has been verified is the Turkic langauge. 72.57.230.179

Well basically the the Azeri article just looks abit wrong at the moment.. there is a section called Turkic background examined which has not been verified as per WP:V --K a s h 10:57, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Read the discussion on the Azari page. See the history. WE want the Iranian factor in the intro. WE do not want the section about the Iranian background to say 'Possible' becuase it is more solid and factual than the Turkic background which there is no evidence for. ALso we want fairer represntation in the photos, before there use to be only 1 Iranian and they always deleted Iranian Azaris becuase all Iranian Azaris were integrated and contributing memebers of Iranian society.
