Garden District is the collective title given to a double-bill of the two one-act plays by Tennessee Williams , Something Unspoken and Suddenly, Last Summer . They are both set in New Orleans' Garden District and both deal with the theme of homosexuality . They received their first performance at the York Playhouse , Off-Broadway , on January 7, 1958.
