Arkansas' state highway system uses no numbering convention. However, generally speaking, the two-digit odd numbered highways run north-south with a few exceptions; and even-numbered two-digit state highways run east-west (with a few exceptions). Those that are exceptions have been marked using an asterisk in the list below. Arkansas highway numbers often repeat themselves in multiple locations, the most recurring being Arkansas State Highway 74.
