WSB TV Tower was built in 1957 and at its completion was the tallest guyed mast tower in the United States. It has a triangular cross section.
This tower is so close to Freedom Parkway that one of its three sets of guy-wires goes over the road. To prevent falling ice in winter, the roadway is covered.
