The district consists of one city (Kosonsoy), 10 urban-type settlements (Bogʻishamol, Istiqlol, Koson, Ququmboy, Ozod, Tergachi, Chindavul, Chust koʻcha, Yangiyoʻl, Yangi shahar) and 7 rural communities.
