NGC 3258 is an elliptical galaxy in the constellation Antlia. It is a member of the Antlia Cluster, which lies about 40.7 megaparsecs (132.7 million light-years) away. It was discovered on May 2, 1834 by John Herschel.

One supernova has been observed in NGC 3258: SN 2010hx (type Ia, mag. 15.3) was discovered by Berto Monard (bio-fr) on 16 September 2010.
