Jessore Sadar is located at 23°10′05″N 89°12′15″E / 23.1681°N 89.2042°E / 23.1681; 89.2042 . It has 94348 units of house hold and total area 432.81 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Jessore Sadar has a population of 530582. Males constitute are 52.85% of the population, and females 47.15%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 281108. Jessore Sadar has an average literacy rate of 44.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.
