A mortadella sandwich is any sandwich using mortadella, a large Italian sausage, and is a popular sandwich in Brazil, especially São Paulo. The sandwich is made from nearly half a pound of mortadella sausage, provolone cheese, sourdough bread, mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.
